If you are interested in going to Operation Backyard, June 22nd-27th, there are a couple forms you should print off and turn in to the student ministries office.  Operation Backyard is a great way to spend a week of your summer vacation.  We spend our time during the day serving in the backyards of Knoxville.  To get more information, please click on the “Important forms” page and read through the Operation Backyard info.

If you are on the High School Mexico Missions Team this is an opportunity for you to work for some of the cost of the trip.  Below are some of the areas you can work in during the Yard Sale to help offset some of the cost of the Mexico Trip.

Tuesday:  1pm- hang signs in the lobby

               3pm- set up tables

5pm- unload the storage trailers into the lobby and begin sorting items

Wednesday: 9am-9pm- price and sort items in the lobby

Thursday: 9am-9pm- price and sort items in the lobby

Friday: 9am-6pm- price and sort items in the lobby

6pm-pre-sale for all adult volunteers who have worked at least 8 hours. If they plan to work the day of sale, those hours can count, as well.

Saturday: 8am-volunteers arrive

               9am-doors open

               2pm-cleanup begins

Show up whenever you can.

Students going on trips this summer will earn money towards their trip ($10 per hour!) for hours worked at the sale.  The maximum that can be earned for a Mexico trip is $100, but students are welcome to work as many hours as they would like.If you have any questions please contact Kerry White, 470-2820×134.
